Characteristic uniformities in a vertical to surface transmission electro-photonic device matrix are studied using a double heterostructure optoelectronic switch as an element device. Uniformity of switching voltage and optical switching energy, which is critical in optical parallel operations, is shown over an entire matrix including 64 monolithically integrated elements.
