In this letter, we propose an efficient feedback consolidation algorithm for a point-to-multipoint available bit rate (ABR) service in asynchronous transfer mode (ATM) networks. The proposed scheme can achieve fast transient response to the congestion status on a branch as well as effectively eliminate the consolidation noise.
