Fault section estimation is important for a power system to be restored to its normal state after a faulty section is isolated. In this study, an artificial neural network based approach is proposed to estimate the faulty section in power system by using the information from the protective relays and circuit breakers. The proposed approach is applied to a sample system where bus, transformer and line protection schemes are considered and the results are given
