Research and development systems of environmentally conscious products: bubble jet printers

The paper reports on the outline of the system for the environmentally conscious design of Canon's BJ printer. The challenges to the design guideline forming the core of the system, the countermeasures to realize the system and the examples of the environmentally conscious products from the viewpoint of the mechanism design are discussed by the author.
