A critical conduction parameter K is derived for the three-phase modular system. This parameter optimises the output filter to achieve the highest power factor of the system. The voltage conversion ratio required to achieve a high power factor to fulfil the harmonic requirements is also derived. Both simulations and experimental results from a 1.5 kW prototype using full-bridge converters have confirmed the analysis
