Novel dispersion tolerant optical duobinary transmitter using phase modulator and Bragg grating filter

We propose a simple and dispersion tolerant transmitter combining a DPSK transmitter with a narrowband Gaussian shaped optical Bragg grating filter as demodulator. More than 150 km of standard fibre can be bridged at 10 Gbit/s.
