The authors discuss the inclusion of a vector Preisach hysteresis model in 2D finite element magnetic field calculations. Two complementary formulations based on either the scalar or the vector potential are elaborated. They are applied to a T-joint region of a three phase inductor with rotating flux excitation. Several numerical results confirm the effectiveness of the presented formulations
