A 1.0-1.1 ps pulse train at 10 GHz in the 1.530 to 1.555 μm wavelength region has been successfully obtained from a regeneratively modelocked fibre laser. The laser was locked to an external signal by operating a phase-locked loop. The tracking range was greatly extended from 100 kHz to 1 MHz by controlling the temperature of the fibre bobbin in the cavity
