In the present paper, a scheme of automated test and measurement used in laboratory automation is discussed. The use of SCADA in measurement automation applications is highlighted. Automated measurement with SCADA adds many new dimensions in the measurement domain. One case study is presented in order to outline some of the features attainable under this measurement scheme
