A multiple-access (MA) scheme for indoor wireless communications is suggested. The proposed MA scheme takes advantage of time-hopping (TH) within multiple frames of a time-division multiple-access (TDMA) system to provide access to the channel for network subscribers. The assignment codes are those of the {0,1} family codes, previously exploited for fiber-optic code-division multiple-access (FO-CDMA) applications. Upper bounds on the overall symbol error rates for differential phase-shift-keying (DPSK) and frequency-shift-keying (FSK) systems are derived when slow, frequency non-selective Rician fading is present
