We investigate optimum spatial-temporal equalization for diversity receiving systems with co-channel interference. We first present the structure of the optimum spatial-temporal decision-feedback equalizer and linear equalizer, and derive closed-form expressions for the equalizer parameters and mean-square-error (MSE) for one-antenna systems. Then, we generalize the results to multiple-antenna systems through a single channel equivalent model. Finally, we obtain the general configuration of the minimum MSE spatial temporal equalizer for bandlimited systems, and show its application by a simulation example
