We propose a complete design for a new home automation networking system. A prototype implementation makes use of readily available technologies to ensure high functionality at low cost. A new networking protocol is proposed. This protocol embodies several attractive features which make it ideal for use as a communication core for home automation. It provides a universal communication-system for any type of device within a domestic environment
