The radio frequency magnetic field distribution of a surface coil adjacent to stimulated human organs and tissues was calculated using a finite-element program. Calculations were done at 10 and 200 MHz. At 10 MHz the B1 field was nearly identical to the calculated field in free space (air). At 200 MHz, the B1 field was significantly increased due to a contribution from displacement currents induced in the tissue sample
