In this paper, the authors verify the calculation procedures proposed in the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) draft standard for the evaluation of short-circuit currents in DC auxiliary power systems of power plants and substations. The dynamic simulation performed on test networks using the Alternative Transient Program (ATP) is taken as a reference for a comparative analysis of the two approaches
