The aims of this paper treats to investigate the hybrid power systems which the fuel cell stack is acted as a main power source and the battery as an energy balancer except for supplying the fuel cell stack's auxiliary power and modulating the excessive or insufficient power for the load to increase the efficiency of proton-exchange-membrane (PEM) fuel cell. Some results shows that the high efficiency of PEM fuel cells operating with a partial load results in a good fuel economy for the purpose of recharging batteries within a fuel cell system.
