International communication: Getting down to basics

Esperanto is proposed as a solution to the problems of cost and misunderstanding occasioned by the international language barriers. It is especially applicable in science and industry, where its simplicity, accuracy of expression, and universality are particularly significant. This paper describes the advantages of Esperanto in such applications, and the efforts of one local section of IEEE to encourage the inclusion of Esperanto in engineering curricula.
