Fully integrated FM demodualator circuits for satellite TV receivers

We have developed two kinds of new ICs for use in FM demodulators of satellite TV receivers. The ICs achieved good temperature stability in an automatic gain control (AGC) amplifier and in a phase-locked demodulator. The ICs also include a signal level amplifier, a driver for the 1st AGC circuit, an automatic frequency tuning (AFT) amplifier, and a voltage regulator. The ICs were fabricated by using the advanced nitride self-aligned (A-NSA) process of 2 μm rule.
