This letter numerically investigates a comparison between soliton interaction and timing jitter effects using transmission fiber that contains: (1) the zigzag-sliding-frequency Fabry-Perot filters (ZSF FPFs) alone and (2) both the ZSF FPFs and chirped fiber Bragg grating filters (CFBGFs). We have found that the latter scheme is more effective for reducing the soliton interactions and noise-induced timing jitters, because the CFBGFs introduce a large positive second-order dispersion and plays the dual role of a filter and a dispersion compensation fiber.
