In this paper, we propose Energy-conservation Social Networking Service (ESNS) that utilizes power consumption real data. In order to get power consumption data easily, we developed Intelligent Tap, which measures the power consumption of electrical appliances by just plugged them in. With ESNS a user could monitor power consumption of his/her possessing appliances by graph and could post opinions or comments on energy-conservations with the graphs as the evidence. A user of ESNS also could set up communities with other users who have same electrical appliances. In this way, ESNS stimulates users' willingness to do energy conservation activities. We extended ESNS so that it associates with Twitter by the function of bot (software robot). To verify the effectiveness of ESNS, we conducted experiments with subjects. As the results, we confirmed that the number of conversations and the willingness of energy conservation were increased when they used Intelligent Tap with ESNS.
