A circularly polarized cavity antenna that is fed by L-shaped elements has been presented. Wideband impedance matching has been achieved by using the vertical arm of the element as the impedance transformer, and hence, there is no need for other impedance-matching circuits. The effectiveness of the proposed antenna has been confirmed experimentally.
