The focus of this work consists in analyzing water flow inside a water cooling electric motor frame. Aiming of work is in the comparison of load losses and the avoidance of hot spots in two types water cooled frames. Total losses of electrical machine were considered as thermal load. Electrical motor is new designed electrically excited synchronous machine for automotive industry. For the development of this work computational fluid dynamics (CFD) was used.
