A dynamic model of relative position about the spacecraft formation flying with a non-cooperative target (SFFNT) is derived. Considering the fact that some parameters of the non-cooperative target (NCT) are unknown, two parameter adaptive control laws are designed to maintain the relative position of SFFNT based on backstepping and Lyapunov method, respectively. Finally, the simulation results are compared to show the advantages of each control law.
