This paper considers the stabilization problem by means of a static output feedback control for linear systems. The control is under positivity constraint, which means that the resulting closed-loop systems are not only stable, but also positive. For single-output systems, by using the singular value decomposition approach, necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of such controllers are established in terms of standard linear programming problems. And the robust output feedback stabilization is concerned for systems with interval uncertainties. The proposed approach can be also applied to multi-output positive systems with a special form in control matrix. Finally, illustrative examples are provided to show the effectiveness and applicability of the theoretical results.
