We present results for progressive transmission of a video sequence with error concealment on a burst error channel. The impact of channel errors is alleviated by using a maximum a posteriori (MAP) detector, without explicit channel coding, which exploits both residual correlation in the compressed video stream as well as channel memory. The residual redundancy in the motion compensated prediction error (MCPE) stream is increased by introducing a leak. An optimal leak factor for maximizing MAP performance (SNR) is determined
