Complex fault diagnosis is one of the most important areas of power system analysis. Currently the power supply system is complicated, the causal relationship for or logic of general unstick quantitative which determined by the structure exists between the input and output in a Complex fault system. Therefore, the mapping one-to-one simple relationship does not exist between the fault and sign, which leads to the complexity of the fault diagnosis. With the improvement of the complexity for modern power distribution system, a powerful basis for electrical facility selection is proposed by fast and accurate short-circuit current calculation. Thus, current research focus on how to fully consider various complex conditions in distribution network, short-circuit current calculation. A new kind of short-circuit current calculation model are quoted in this paper, asymmetric network complex fault calculation by a model using virtual nodes and lines which is equivalent to a three-phase distribution system, can be used to intuitive analysis the complex asymmetric network fault. The comparison between the new algorithm and traditional algorithm with efficiency and reliability in various fault condition is given in this paper, provide the basis for choice short-circuit current calculation method to different network model, the basis for choice short-circuit current calculation method is provided to different network model.
