This paper describes the US Department of Energy's Adventures in Supercomputing (AiS) which takes students beyond mere scientific literacy to a rich embodiment of scientific exploration. AiS provides today's science and math students with a greater opportunity to investigate science problems, propose solutions, explore different methods of solving the problem, organize their work into a technical paper and present their results
