The 1984 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems took place May 7 to 10 at the Queen Elizabeth Hotel in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. This conference was considered one of the best ever sponsored by the CAS Society. Montreal was especially honored to host ISCAS in this centennial year of the IEEE. The symposium was privileged to have Dr. Richard J. Go-wen, President of the IEEE, make the opening address: “Entering Our Second Century.”
