The edge ringing artifacts often appears near image edge after deconvolution. We presented an iterative enhancement algorithm to remove the edge ringing artifact. We also presented an edge ringing metric to evaluate the quality of images enhanced based on the human visual system. The metric is used to assessment the edge ringing artifact based on the analysis of the structure of it. The experimental results validate the proposed enhancement and evaluation methods perform well.
