A mode crossbar switch scheme between LP01 and LP11 modes is proposed and experimentally demonstrated. A spatial light modulator is used as a mode crossbar switch controller to solve the issue of LP11 mode random rotation. It is demonstrated that lower than -10dB mode crosstalk ratios can be achieved over a 10km few-mode fibre transmission for both bar and cross switch cases.
