In order to evaluate the arable land change and ites pressure in coastal region of Jiangsu province, China. Land use change from 2006 to 2010 were analyzed based on TM imagery. With the help of the Statistical Yearbook, the pressure index of arable land in the region was calculated and the four partition were divided. The urbanization trend and the driving factors were also analyzed. That some countermeasures should be taken was suggested.
