Optical communication has occupied a more and more important position in the modern communication system, and optical power splitter as the core component optical communication system gaining the increasing concern. The basic function of optical power splitter is used to realize optical signal splitter and combiner. Ion-exchanged technology is the most important manufacturing optical waveguide technology currently. This paper gives ion-exchanged technologies which are used currently a brief review and analysis, compares the difference between them, and gives a good method and conclusion in theory. I hope this can provide a certain reference value for future researches and analysis.
