A novel approach is proposed for the layering and zoning (LAZ) optimization design of Ultra-high voltage (UHV) receiving power network. The method operates by joint use of framework representation and intermittent distributed computing. Structure graph model and information framework is first established to facilitate the analysis of network performance. Furthermore, a comprehensive evaluation system, integrated intermittent distributed computing and dynamic weight, is formulated to achieve the fast calculation of the optimal LAZ scheme under different focus. The LAZ example of a power grid in China illustrates that our skill is able to generate the opportune LAZ scheme according to various boundary conditions. It provides a technical support for the development and access of UHV power grid.
