China is a big textile and apparel producing country. She is facing much severer challenge and competition than before after joining the global economic system. The need of more professional talents is increasing in textile and apparel industry. At the same time, more and more new technology appears and digital technology is one of them. It brings new opportunity not only for apparel industry but also for the higher apparel education in China and offers strong technical support for sustainable development of higher education. This paper focuses on the cognition of sustainable development of digital technology application of students and faculties from apparel and relative majors. 345 students and 50 faculties took part in the questionnaire investigation. The analysis and solution were given according to these first-hand data.
