A perfomance evaluation of /spl Sigma//spl Delta/-STAP approach to airborne surveillance radars in the presence of both clutter and jammers

This paper evaluates under the medium PRF condition the performance of sum-difference beam (/spl Sigma//spl Delta/)-STAP for clutter suppression in conjunction with a multiple sidelobe canceler for pre-suppression of wideband jammers. In terms of its output SINR and spatial response pattern, this approach to air/space-borne surveillance radars is found to perform well in the presence of both clutter and jammers.
