As I started collecting thoughts for this article, Surgical Intuitive was among the four stocks that are fast approaching $700 per share, with the likes of Apple. Surgical Intuitive's main product is the surgical robotic system aptly named DaVinci which is now in the second generation of its production phase. This is a rather remarkable achievement for an essentially new surgical instrument manufacturer. It signifies the readiness of the market and the public to go beyond traditional medical instrumentation boundaries.
