In order to solve the single point failure and performance bottleneck of service in classic storage system, a new storage method IND is proposed in this paper, which is consisted of lots of isomorphic embedded units, a distributed architecture is adopted, in control of virtual techniques the system is just like a union logic unit. It provides user an efficient, scalability and intelligence data storage service. Then a high-performance I/O mechanism depending on the copy mechanism is designed, which stores the copy of hot read-only date in a region of programmable NIC's memory and is managed by IND host to reduce the transfer hot read-only data Experiments show IND system is an efficient storage method which overcomes single-point failure and performance bottleneck and the copy mechanism brings IND system better I/O performance. It is a promising storage strategy.
