A generic architecture for intelligent tutoring system as a multi-agent system is presented. The agents in the architecture are programmed with AGLess-a specialized agent-oriented environment. It possesses two levels: agent level containing agent-oriented programming primitives, and lower object-oriented level. The lower level is used for agent's internal state representation and for the specification of agent's actions
