Now-a-days side lobe cancellation is a challenging task in beam forming and beam steering in antenna array systems. The side lobe level can degrade the system performance as well as antenna power efficiency significantly. In this paper, we present the iterative Fast Fourier technique to reduce the side lobe level of scanned linear array antenna while keeping the dynamic range ratio fixed. Advantage of this technique is very high computational speed i.e. it takes less computation time. This is because of the fact that the core calculations are based on direct and inverse fast Fourier transforms (FFT). The simulation results have shown that this technique is able to find suitable weights vector to reduce the side lobe power.
