Location management schemes for mobile communications

Efficient location management schemes are needed to meet the challenges from users' high density, mobility, and various service features. In this paper the general location control and management functionality is treated as combination of two parts, the global and local scope. New schemes and methods are proposed, and improvements achieved over established basic schemes are shown by using simulations.
