The paper describes and develops an application of component partnership design for dynamic k-out-of-n system reliability. This alternative k-out-of-n system perspective expresses the new reliability model configured with component partnerships that is applied to actual network design problems requiring high fault tolerance. A telecommunication application modeling example is arranged in a k-out-of-n configuration with a combination of multiple component choices that can conform to partners at a certain level or above. The reliability model for this application provides adaptive or changing k with time assuming traditional binary component states. This newly designed engineering application is not addressed sufficiently by some existing reliability models.
