This study reports the l2 stability problem for a class of distributed heterogeneous systems interconnected via communication channels. First, the model of distributed networked control system (DNCS) is given, taking into account both the heterogeneity of the subsystems and the non-idealisation of the communication network. The sufficient condition for the finite-gain l2 stability is then derived. A numerically solvable condition is further given based on the frequency domain result. Finally, a simulation example is provided to demonstrate the usefulness of the theoretical results obtained.
