A new H-shaped resonator configuration is introduced for dual-band bandpass filter applications. This new design provides flexibility in controlling central frequencies and bandwidths of dual-band bandpass filters. The selectivity and the upper stopband performance of dual-band bandpass filters can be improved by virtue of the proposed H-shaped resonators. Experimental design example is given to validate this filter design theory. The proposed filters have compact size, low insertion losses and small group delay variations. The measured results show good agreement with theoretical analysis.
