This paper presents the investigation of millimeter-wave Fabry-Perot resonator antennas, which are composed of a dielectric slab, a PEC ground and a feed antenna. He substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) 2×2 slot antennas are utilized to excite the antennas. The full-wave 3D electromagnetic software is used to carry out the investigation. Two SIW slot antennas, which show narrow and wide bandwidths respectively, are first designed. Then they are applied to the Fabry-Perot resonator antennas. Simulations show that the SIW slot antenna is an ideal feed antenna in constructing millimeter-wave Fabry-Perot resonator antennas.
