Due to the shortages of JPEG doubly compression detection method proposed by Tomas and Li Bin, a new method for detecting the JPEG double compression images is proposed in this paper. Based on the method of estimated doubly JPEG compression images proposed by Lukas[1], the new method used differences between doubly JPEG compression quantization step and single JPEG compressed quantization step, and the estimated quantization step, as the differentiating features to detect doubly JPEG compressed images. Compared with some existing methods, the simulation experimental results show that the new method is effective to improve the accuracy of checking JPEG images whether are doubly compressed or not.
