An efficient technique for the analysis of microwave circuits and antennas etched on a layered medium is presented. The proposed method, based on the recently introduced equivalent medium approach, yields accurate results and yet reduces computational time in comparison with the conventional method of moments algorithm. A numerical example which demonstrates the accuracy and numerical efficiency of the proposed technique is included.
