FDTD simulations are done for wireless body area network channel characterization with the focus on the effect of the body-model type. Under different WBAN scenarios, the reception-level and phase results are compared between the heterogeneous and homogeneous Virtual Family Male model. If the heterogeneous model is considered as more realistic compared to a homogeneous one, the provided data helps estimating the received-field uncertainty due to a homogeneous model.
