The aim of this study is to develop an automatic road extraction algorithm for satellite images. In the road network extraction algorithm, edge detection, segmentation analysis, clustering, vegetation analysis is used. Morphological operations are used in post-processing. Quantitative and visually presented results show that the proposed method is effective for main-road extraction.
