With the development of China aviation demand, the evaluation of the efficiency of airport has become more realistic and critical to the whole air service. Now the efficiency is usually compared according to some partial productivity indicator without considering the different level of infrastructure, population, etc. The paper suggests a data envelopment analysis method to understand the overall performance of airports. The real data is analyzed to rank the technical efficiency and performance of big 20 airports in China. The result shows that the DEA is suitable to complex input and output airport industry and will help promote the efficiency.
