Prediction of magnetic hysteresis in FeCoB amorphous materials using the dynamic Preisach model

Dynamic hysteresis loops and losses were measured on Fe/sub 64/Co/sub 21/B/sub 15/ amorphous ribbons submitted to different annealing conditions. The results were analyzed by the dynamic Preisach model. The model can directly predict both the loop shape and the loss behavior vs frequency, on the basis of the Preisach distribution and of the linear dimension, /spl Delta/l, of the correlation regions providing coherent magnetization changes. We estimated correlation lengths from /spl Delta/l/spl ap/80 /spl mu/m (as-cast case) to /spl Delta/l/spl ap/250 /spl mu/m (field-annealed material).
