In this paper, the author presents a niche adaptive genetic algorithm for cognitive radio spectrum allocation, the adaptive niche genetic algorithm has the following features: 1.Adaptively and dynamically adjust the crossover probability and mutation probability; 2.Divide the population into several niches, and each niche will evolve parallelly. Compared to the simple genetic algorithm, adaptive niche genetic algorithm can effectively prevent the premature convergence, ensuring the global optimal solution is found. Simulation results show that, using adaptive niche genetic algorithm for cognitive radio spectrum allocation will improve the total system transmission rate significantly, at the same time, satisfying the BER requirement, minimum transfer speed requirement and power limit.
